HARFA: SCREENSHOTS AND TUTORIALS: HSB SCALE

Separations
  • HSB Scale
  • The HSB colour space is derived from the RGB model. A basic components it uses hue (H), saturation (S), and brightness (B). The hue determines the prevailing spectral colour, the saturation reflects ingredients of other colours, and the amount of the white light describes the brightness. This space has a shape of six-sided pyramid with black colour (K) at the top vertex. The brightness increases towards the base. The middle of the base is composed of white colour. The saturation determines the distance from the axis of the pyramid. The dominant colours lies on the envelope and the pure colours are at the circumference of the base. Sometimes, the colour space is called as HSV (V – value). The components of the HSB model are depicted on the figure bellow.
